There are elements that are cross-cutting, and once you know how to tackle social issues, it’s down to harvesting local solutions to shared problems. This is one of the reasons I believe in design thinking because it really focuses people to listen, empathising first. Through that empathy, you can understand where the gaps are, and what people want, so you can collaborate better to deliver that.

Graduates in this area can also be found working as education officers, initial teacher educators, teachers in international schools and as entrepreneurs running businesses offering consultancy in schools. The dynamic nature of business means that students benefit greatly from practical experiences and learning outside of the classroom. ThePre-Masters Programmeis a preparation course held at theUniversity of Strathclyde International Study Centre, for international students (non EU/UK) who do not meet the academic entry requirements for a Masters degree at University of Strathclyde.

The Pre-Masters programme provides progression to a number of degree options. Taught both on campus and in schools, this module will enable you to become an effective teacher through learning pedagogical theory, observing experienced teachers and applying your knowledge and understanding in the practical context. The normal study load expectation for an undergraduate full-time course of study in the standard academic year is 120 credit points. This amounts to around hours of expected teaching and learning per week, inclusive of attendance requirements for lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical work, fieldwork or other scheduled classes, private study, and assessment. Part-time study load is the same as full-time pro-rata, with each credit point representing 10 hours of student effort. This module will equip students with the skills and understanding to collaborate online with other students, focusing on the application of ICT in teaching and learning at macro and micro levels.

Attendance and Independent Study

Operations and supply chain management is the planning, design, organization, and control of the flow of information and materials along the supply chain in order to meet customer requirements.
